We all know that construction has it’s highs and lows; times when you have more work than your estimating department can keep up with and others when there is not enough to bid. CCA can help by providing you with an on call overflow service - you can use us or lose us, meaning you can call us only when you need estimates or takeoffs prepared. Sometimes you need an estimator “and a half”. We can provide that extra helping hand to insure that you meet your deadlines with accurate and competently prepared estimates and takeoffs.
CCA can prepare a quantity takeoff which you can use in your estimating systems, or provide a complete estimate using your confidential labor and pricing structures. We are familiar with a number of commercial estimating systems and can generally adapt our estimating to your system requirements and formats.
We can prepare pricing for every division and scope of work so that you can have “check” numbers on bid day to compare to your subcontractor numbers, allowing your in house estimators to focus on self performed work, schedule analysis and subcontractor solicitation. This provides an excellent method of analyzing subcontractor quotes and judging the “reasonableness” of the quotes you receive on bid day, helping eliminate costly mistakes and missing or overlapping scopes of work between subcontractors.
We use Excel™ spreadsheets as our primary estimating tool which generally provides the required flexibility to adapt to your particular estimating system and techniques.
